Application

A globe valve is for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable disk (also called a plug) element and a stationary ring seat typically in a spherical body. The inlet and outlet of the body are separated by an internal baffle. This has an opening that forms a seat onto which the movable disk/plug can be screwed in to close (or shut) the valve. ​
